The Rev.Canon Darcey Lazerte
Ordained in 1996, Darcey served at three churches before coming to St. Simon in 2004.  Under his leadership the church has been a place which is inclusive of people from all backgrounds and all walks of life.  With an emphasis on children's and youth ministry and a heart for outreach St. Simon is a place which is relevant to its community and important to those who call St. Simon their faith home.  Married to Dawn, a local grade 6 teacher, they proudly parent three children.

The Rev. Sheila Van Zandwyk  
 
Sheila was born and raised in St. Catharines and attended the Christian Reformed Church there with her family. She began attending Grace Anglican Church in the mid 90’s and it was there that she first felt her call to ordained ministry. She worked on her undergraduate degree at Brock University and received her Master of Divinity from Wycliffe College. While at Wycliffe she had the opportunity to visit Kenya for four weeks on a mission trip and visit Israel on a study tour, both amazing experiences. Sheila is passionate about helping people to deepen their faith life and experience God in new and exciting ways.

The Rev. Dr. Canon Alan Hayes

Professor Hayes, who earned his doctorate at McGill University, is Bishops Heber and Frederick Wilkinson Professor of Church History at Wycliffe College, where he has taught for thirty-one years.

He is a distinguished church historian, who is author of several books and articles on English, American and Canadian church history and an editor of a professional historical journal. He has served in various offices of administration and institutional leadership at Wycliffe College and in the TST.

He is married to the Rev. Morar Murray-Hayes, Minister of Maple Grove United Church, Oakville, and they have two daughters and one granddaughter. He is an Honorary Canon of Christ’s Church Anglican Cathedral in Hamilton.

The Rev. Robert George Gardner

Father Bob comes to us from Jamaica where he grew up and was trained at St. Peters Theological College at Cross Roads in Jamaica. Bob was made a Deacon in October 1948 and was ordained Priest on June 19th, l949 at the Cathedral Church of St. Jago de la Vega in Spanish Town, Jamaica. Bob served at Christ Church, Vineyard Town and was also an assistant Curate at St.Luke’s Church, Cross Roads before serving as Rector of the combined parishes of Balaclava, Keynsham and Siloah with five mission churches. 

He came to Montreal in l953 and served for a while a
s an honoureary assistant at St. Strphen’ s church in Lachine, Quebec. Later, Bob came to Ontario where he served as assistant curate at St. James Church, in Guelph before becoming 
Rector at St. Philip –by -the –lake in Grimsby. He then went on to become Rector of St. John the Divine, Cayuga and St. John’s, York from which he retired in 1990.

etirement Bob has served as honorary assistant here at St. Simon’s Church, Oakville.
